Original artwork description:

The bold abstract multilayered miniature called "Island in the Sky 1" and dedicated to John Donne will bring meditative mood into you home interior. The airy artwork in light blue colors look like summer sky or peaceful water of the sea. It is a meditation about our integrity.

I cut my early oil painting from 1999 into pieces and pasted one fragment of that canvas onto a cardboard painted in the color of the light blue sky colors with white dots in the form of large stars. I interesting in to investigate the passage of time, changes that occur in the external and internal world over 20 years. “No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent, a part of the main“, told John Donne in his "Meditation 17".

This artwork is very poetic and will be a little secret joy on your bookshelf, a writing desk or a wall.

The painting has a stylish silver wooden frame and ready to hang.

Colors and tones of the artwork with tender blue accents vary depending on the lighting and look different in daylight or bright electric light and to depend on settings of a monitor of your device.
