Island Harbour

Sailing into the harbour of an island community. This is an oil painting that I made on loose canvas, which I mounted to a prepared cradled board box. The oil paint is infused with bees wax, which gives it a lovely depth and luminosity. The wooden sides of the box are painted with mottled color that matches the painting. It's a very nice effect.
The canvas has a ragged edge on the left side, which I think is unique and cool. You can see it in the close-up.
10 x 8 inches with 2 inch painted wood sides. Sold unframed because it doesn't need a frame. Just hang on a nail as is.
