Title: Island Home
Rainy views from Skye. There are days when even the rain makes everything more beautiful here on our northern islands. When you know that looking from the window everything is softened and muted yet brings that sense of distance from all things real.
The tiny island foremost in the picture is Eilean Tigh or Island Home or Home Island. It is connected to the island of Raasay (Island of the Roe Deer) at high tides. Some hundreds of years ago a few families lived here so the name lives on.
The image is a creation from an original photograph where I have added textures like those of the rain and the rocks.
I photograph and print every image, I do not outsource any part of my workflow. Each canvas has been painstakingly crafted to ensure the true colours, resolution and texture are exactly as they should be.
