A teal impressionist style square artwork, a giclée fine art print on deckle edged paper. This exquisite print of the islands off the coast of Scotland, is intensely colourful yet calming and serene. The teal, blue and green muted colour palette reflects the beautiful colours of the Scottish Landscape.
The muted tones and shapes of the hills of the Isle of Raasay off the coast of the Isle of Skye. I love to make these images from the clifftops near my studio on Skye. This place has a fabric feel, you can see weave and weft everywhere so I have added texture and blurring to emphasise that feel.
This is printed on exquisite fine art paper that has a texture like watercolour painting paper. The paper is deckle edged, the edges have been hand torn. You can see an example of this in one of the photographs.
Deckling is a highly skilled process which gives the piece a sophisticated look. This type of print is often 'float framed', the print is raised up from the backing board to give it a look of floating in the frame.
By default the print has a white border of about 1 - 2 inch and that white border is deckle edged. If you prefer no white border please let me know at the time of purchase.
