Artwork description:

This abstract landscape image of the islands off the coast of Scotland, is intensely colourful yet calming and serene. The teal, blue and green muted colour palette reflects the beautiful colours of the Scottish Landscape.

The muted tones and shapes of the hills of the Isle of Raasay off the coast of the Isle of Skye. I love to make these images from the clifftops near my studio on Skye. This place has a fabric feel, you can see weave and weft everywhere so I have added texture and to emphasise that feel.

Printed at 48 x 48 inches with a 2 inches white border to be used by your framer for the sides of your frame.

Also available sizes up to 56 x 56 inches on paper and on canvas. If you need a bespoke size just let me know.

About My Work
I believe in giving my clients beautiful artwork on luxury papers that hold their colours for a lifetime! For these special prints of my work I use dreamy, light textured Canson Canvas and the highest quality inks. I do all my own printing, having spent years learning this skill I prefer to maintain control of the colour representation at all stages to ensure you get a truly handmade image.

About My Materials
People often say that my images look like paintings because of the richness of the colours, the depth of the black and the texture of the materials I use. Canson are one of the oldest paper manufacturers in the world, they have been making paper and canvas for over 450 years in France. Founded in 1557 and printers to Louis XVI, their paper was used by Voltaire and Napoleon and the Montgolfier brothers used Canson paper to make the first hot air balloon. Canson paper was used by Picasso, Ingres, Chagal, Miro and many other artists. They have been making paper and canvas for photography since this art began over 150 years ago. Canson are Eco Friendly - they purchase paper pulp only from forests managed in a sustainable way which also makes them pretty special.
