With a semi abstract painting, where the artist is including a recognizable figure with pure abstract forms and color, the problem is always to mate the two in a way that makes both components compatible. Here I am using the female figure as the recognizable element, leading to the less definitive shapes and colors of the remaining parts of the painting….mostly the background. I have kept most of this painting within a pallet of darker colors while adding a few bright highlighting colors.
"Iron Maiden #6" is a one of a kind, original work of art. It is produced using India ink and acrylic paint on laminated 5 mil archival grade mylar.
The painting is signed on the front and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity.
All my work is done on Dura-Lar mylar artist film. It does not have to be stretched like canvas or watercolor paper. It is easy to mount on any type of board: plywood, masonite, foamboard, etc. I include simple mounting instructions with each piece that I sell. You can see these instructions at the “me at work” section of my shop. I include a hanging strip and a drywall hanging device. Everything that you need to mount your painting except the board.
