This painting took me a very long time to complete, due to all the detail involved. There are many layers of overlaid paint in dots and dabs over the whole surface. These dots are of different sizes, to give a textural feel to the paint. The sides are painted black.

I am a member of the Society of Fl;oral painters. Last year I did a day's demonstrating for them at our annual exhibition,. This is the painting I was working on that day for the visitors to have a look at.
