‘Iridescence' is an original seahorse painting by British artist Sian Storey.

It's painted on canvas, sized at 30 x 90cm, with a depth of 5cm.

Sian used acrylic and spray paint to create this dreamy underwater painting. The gorgeous colours of turquoise, teal and lilac provide an ethereal background for the vibrant seahorse, which seems to leap off the canvas. The gold spray paint catches the light with a glistening effect.

The painting is signed by the artist Sian Storey on the front and reverse, and will be an exciting addition to your home.

Sian is continually inspired by the beauty of the ocean, and this dreamy seahorse painting is awash with beautiful blues. You almost feel underwater when you gaze at it.

The title ‘Iridescence’ is inspired by the phenomenon of luminous colours seeming to change when viewed from different angles. It's perfect for this painting, which features flashes of gold spray paint which sparkle and shimmer when seen from different angles. ‘Iridescence' was painted during winter 2021, in Sian Storey’s studio in Hampshire, England.

As the one-and-only owner of this original work of art, you’ll be able to appreciate the delicate, detailed brushwork and mists of spray paint. Look closely, and you'll see painterly textures and brushstrokes - something photos just can't do justice.

Sian paints in layers, building up colours and textures of paint along the way. The spray paint is used to diffuse edges and lines, creating an ethereal finish.
