For my family this place is home the story goes that my grandfather Alfred Charles Horne as a lad saw the Titanic anchor of Roches point as the ship was so large it couldn't get into Cork harbor.
My grandfather rode the first pneumatic air tires bicycle to the lighthouse to see the Titanic.
9 people got off the Titanic that day in Ireland the local Irish people sold jewelry and linen and lace etc to the passengers they went out in boats and boarded.
Then they all left the Titanic and it set sail into history, sadly!!!
Picture is from my resent visit to Ireland beautiful place so it is!!!
