The series inspired by the colour blue continues. In this work, a sensual female portrait, a blue semi-circle for the intellect. These portraits are hardly ever simple portraits, but archetypes of contemporary femininity. Through which to express one's philosophy of life.
The image portrays a woman immersed in a moment of deep introspection, the smoke of her cigarette helps her to relax, she does not need anything, she wants to be alone and she smokes alone. This work is not just a portrait, but a journey back in time. Memories, loves, journeys. into the human soul, challenging the viewer to explore beyond the visible. The vivid tones, the blue, the pale whiteness of the skin against a black background, insufflate energy and mystery, adding a vibrant and deeply emotional touch.
Blue, the typical colour of the sky, gives an idea of stillness. It represents intellect, fidelity, love. For the Tibetans, blue represents the power of the dreams of imagination.
In this work I use digital technology as part of the creative process. An indispensable tool in the creation of a work, for both digital and traditional artists, and for those who use both techniques, digital and pictorial.
Photographs, digitally processed and printed on rigid panels, go beyond the limits of traditional techniques to create a world of dreams, visions. On request, the print can also be made on canvas, retouched by hand.
