In this atmospheric impressionist landscape scene I have tried to portray the stillness and tranquility of the misty picturesque heather moorland scenery, with a view into a small glen in the Scottish highlands, with a small burn or stream flowing over a small waterfall, though the hills and mountains shrouded in mist. Painted in muted autumnal colors colours of brown ochres with a grey sky
