Layers of colour painted onto the canvas. Each colour applied with a brush and when dry the shape is outlined. More layers, more detail. Look at the close up photos and you will see the detailed work. The image looks different depending on which angle or distance you view it. Shades of blue. Other colours added throughout to add that pop. Love this painting, love the effect.
