This work is about history (and based on documentary photos), which really impressed me. Ksenia Plakhtiy, the owner of the indoor plant shop "Plantastic", who stayed in Kharkiv during the war and was involved in the evacuation and watering of her clients' plants. The apartment keys were sent to her by Nova Poshta and sometimes she had to stand in line for hours to get them, because it was the very beginning of the war. She took plants from areas where it was most dangerous, or which had lost windows, to her home. The next stage of helping the plants was sending them to their new homes: if the owners decided not to return to Kharkiv, the plants were sent by Nova Poshta.
For me, this is a story about the extraordinary humanity and sensitivity of Ukrainians.
People who think about plants during war cannot be defeated.
Also, this work is autobiographical for me, because for the last 9 years I have been living in a continuous journey and sometimes I feel like these plants in the trunk.
This work participates in the exhibition "Unbreakable flowers" which will take place from May 30 to June 9 in Kyiv, gallery "Mytets"
