A textured Deep Impasto palette knife painting in oil by an award winning San Francisco Bay artist, featuring a colorful and elegant Sierra Nevada landscape painting, with a quaking aspen tree grove.

In the Eastern Sierra Nevada mountains of California, past the Yosemite National Park, you'll find plenty of birch and aspen groves ablaze with color in the early fall. This particular grove was right on the river near the idyllic little town of June Lake, north of Bishop.

The color palette on this piece features deep ocher and ultramarine blue, complimenting the gold and yellow foliage, and lush texture with large kinetic palette knife strokes.
