Original artwork description:

This painting should be viewed alongside 'A meeting of minds - Exterior designs', also in this gallery. Both done at the same time on hardwood cupboard doors salvaged from Dr Marley's (cf. Charles Dickens) old house in Padstow after the kitchen was, er, 'improved'. They have therefore built-in frames.

They are early examples of my interest in adaptive womanhood - inside / outside. This one was done after an intimate photograph of a film director's wife whose name I'm ashamed to say I forget - I would love to know her name. If anyone should know, please get in touch.

NB. I HOPE THESE TWO PAINTINGS CAN REMAIN TOGETHER AS A VIRTUAL DIPTYCH.
