Artwork description:

This is a re-working of a linoblock I made a couple of years ago and which the Dorchester Hotel in London commissioned for the redecoration of their suites. It's a combination of two separate blocks and a monotype as well as many jigsaw Lino pieces for the additional foliage patterns that make up this print.
I have spent so many happy moments in Kew Gardens, which has over the years become my haven from what can often be a chaotic and rushed life outside of the garden gates. The Palm House in particular, almost cathedral like in size, height and breadth, and the doorways like alters it really is a heavenly and magical place.
And this is what I hope I have conveyed in this piece.
Please be aware that due to the fact that each print is handmade and hand pressed many times that inevitably there will be faint marks and smudges left by my inky fingers and there is embossing due to the nature of how I work. There will also be some colour differences from print to print making each one unique and special.

Materials used:

Somerset satin 300gm and oil based inks
