This is the artist's contemporary interpretation of a classical landscape. The colour palette is the thread of continuity between traditional landscape paintings but the storm is rendered in wild and loose loops and mirrors the colour of the floating land, which is surreally placed in the sky. The aim is to share a sense of freedom from normal senses when perceiving nature in new ways and to challenge the conditioning of our fixed ideas.
