Original artwork description:

from the series “China’s drops”, oil and pencil on paper, 24 x 24 cm, 2016.

If you try to drip a drop of ink on a wet surface you can observe that it doesn’t spread evenly, diluting in water, but expands in a sudden and irregular way, causing streaks and branches that are oriented on the surface on the basis of the obstacles or impurities encountered, perhaps invisible. This generates a rich arabesque, a pure decoration that can vary from time to time, and that expands until it fills the entire surface.

I usually paint on stretched canvas, or fine art paper prepared for oil painting. Once ended, the painting is finished with a coat of varnish to protect against UV sunlight and dust. Also the sides of the canvases are painted, so they are ready to hang. My works are never sold rolled, but always packed flat. I put them between two sheets of acid-free paper with paper or cardboard protection for the corners, than closed in a plastic envelope and bubble packaging. The package is completed with stiffeners of polystyrene on both sides, and external layers of cardboard. All my artworks are unique original paintings, signed and provided of Certificate of Authenticity.
