Artist Josephine Window created this Abstract Ink Brush Drawing on paper from the life model. This is a one of a kind artwork. 59cm x 84 cm x 0.2cm

Abstract Ink Brush Drawing is one of Josephine's favourite art forms. This is because she can use a variety of materials and techniques to create a dynamic artwork, full of energy and vitality.

Her method: Josephine takes lines, shapes and light from the model to build an abstract layered figure composition. She has made silver light a special quality of this superb figure drawing.

Inspiration: The artist's Ink Brush Drawing Series is inspired by the life model at Dynamic Drawing sessions.
What Josephine says: “Here my imagination soon takes over, because daily concerns are left behind. Also the ambience of the scene is inspiring. Woman, the body, dance and music are all important factors because they provide dynamism, colours and drama. Also I enjoy the company of other artists!”

About the process: She says: “I love to create these works quickly to music, as this brings freedom, spontaneity and innovation to my expression”.

Artistic Style: Abstract Expressionism and Expressive Gestural are the styles Josephine Window uses for her Nudes and Eroticism works. The artist says: “I use these styles, because they are the best vehicles for my expression. They are great for quick and spontaneous work. I love to lay down movement, colours, shapes and lines, immediately in the moment".

Art Practice: Josephine Window says “I’ve reached a high point in my artistic journey. This is because of many years of life drawing, colour studies and experimental techniques. I am now a free spirit, bold, innovative and happy to do what I love. Even so, every new artwork has its challenges to resolve. I enjoy the process enormously and know I’m lucky!" 

Abstract Ink Brush Drawing 9 was worked from the life model at a Friday morning Dynamic Drawing session in Byron Bay, Australia. It was started in 2019. Josephine finished the drawing in her studio in 2022.
 A signed and dated Certificate of Authenticity is included.
