Original artwork description:

3D acrylic painting on canvas, ready to hang with painted sides.
Two coats of protective matte varnish are applied to protect the painting from UV rays and dust.
Painting is signed in the front and accompanied by the Certificate of Authenticity.

I was very much inspired by the fun and colorful Indian wedding tradition which was introduced to me for the first time a couple years ago.

Traditional Indian weddings carry shine and bling and variety of the different ceremonies and attire that go with it. Although bling of the amazing jewelery can sometimes be very overwhelming our friends managed to present their own Indian wedding in an extraordinary elegant and sophisticated way where they carefully addressed the color scheme for the four days of the wedding celebration.

This was my first contact with this rich culture and inspired me for this 3D painting in acrylics.

I wanted to present the colorful beauty of the Indian wedding as well as the deeper meaning of the ceremony and celebration of memorable journey of the couple.

The painting is made in acrylics with 3D elements which are presented in decorations on the left and right side of the painting and also in silver beads on the veil (Dupatta).

Materials used:

acrylics, modelling paste, acrylic beads, brushes, spatulas, protective varnish
