In the Summertime by Mungo Jerry, memories of the jetty in the North German seaside resort of St Peter-Ording - busy pedestrian traffic there in both directions, the bathers equipped with everything you need or don't need on the beach. They walk a few hundred metres through the mudflats to the bathing area, shallow water around the jetty.

These are my thoughts that went through my head while painting.

A light summer painting that plays with the different types and their reflections in the water. The even spacing of the people gives the picture an uncluttered look and therefore radiates calm and relaxation - just what you would expect from a warm day by the sea.

The edges are painted, the painting can be hung without additional framing.
