NELLE TRAME DEL SOGNO - Digital processing on canvas with enamel and varnish 80x80 cm.
The inspiration for this composition stems from the fascination that ‘mystery’, derived from dreams, has always had for me. Bizarre and scabrous. Describing dreams, penetrating the subconscious, representing one's hidden world. Enigmas, unanswered questions. In this painting the female body placed in the foreground, on a carpet that makes her rise due to the paranormal phenomenon of levitation, the environment is gloomy, dark, barely illuminated by a half moon. The moon is the soul, it is our way of experiencing emotions, desires, dreams. The earth is reality, the place where we struggle with regrets and disappointments. If the viewers of this image, grasp the sense of freedom that one feels when entering the inner world, it means that I have achieved my goal, I have succeeded in hypnotising you, and that you will not be able to detach yourself from this image.
My chosen medium: mixed technique with enamel and acrylic colours on digital processing of a photograph of mine on canvas, finally treated with clear varnish to make it resistant and long-lasting. Result of an elaborate mix of scenography and painting. The work is authentic and executed in one piece.
