The work is inspired by a sculpture by Leonardo Bistolfi, exponent of Italian symbolism, which contrasts the idea, fantasy with reality, the refuge in the dream. The dream is a theme very dear to me. It is no coincidence that the moon, shining and silent guardian, stands next to the body of a woman sculpted by Bistolfi. A composition with a mysterious and dreamy atmosphere, the moon is the soul, it is our way of experiencing emotions, desires, dreams. The earth is reality, the place where we struggle with ‘regrets and disappointments’.
