In the landscape
The Ginkgo tree stands,
It has changed from green to a striking yellow,
Ethereal light and pale Prussian blue sky,
Agricultural crop fields,
Seen on the outskirts of Tisbury in Wiltshire.

Words and thoughts.
You never know what you are going to notice sometimes and I have observed this area for years and never noticed up till now the Ginkgo tree which is the most striking colour tree in mid to late Autumn.
Original impressionist watercolour on Indian cotton rag paper. I used Japanese watercolours and delicate watery washes were applied for the background. Then a pressing plus dragging technique for the Ginkgo tree. Etched out some of the paint while it is wet for the grasses.
