In this painting, I sought to capture the serene yet vibrant energy of urban riverside life. Using tempera, I fused elements of expressionism and semi-abstraction to portray the reflective surface of the water and the sturdy forms of barges against a backdrop of an evolving city. The cool palette evokes a quiet morning, offering a tranquil yet
