This painting was presented during the Exhibition at the State Historical Museum in honor of 460 years of St. Basil’s Cathedral.
The painting “In the Darkness, the Light Shines” was one of 42 selected from 1,000 pieces of art. There is an art festival every year held by the administration of the cathedral. Everybody can take a part and participate in the competition. This work was made during the COVID lockdown. I used a plein air etude to create a bigger version of the painting in the studio.
