Original artwork description:
This started out as a straight painting of my son Lawson by a large window...but I had a dream a few weeks prior that I couldn't shake. I was in a dark basement and all I could see were people walking on the street level in a window near the ceiling. The clicking and clocking of the shoes, the shadows they produced became like a web of sound. This is what I tried to capture with the gossamer overlay.
Full disclosure, this painting have a exacto slice just to the right of the head. I have repaired it with acrylic gel and gesso on the back. Adds to the character and lowers the price...everyone wins!
