Mixed media painting, acrylic, and ink. This is a portrait of a bartender I met during a trip to Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. She seemed to be in her own world and completely submerged in her cellular phone. Not much attention was given to the bar patrons but she was a very interesting subject. From her hairdo to her outfit, she looked like she was ready to be out and about but was captive at her workplace. I like to people-watch and it always captivates me to see people that are their own selves and unaware of their surroundings.
