Original artwork description:

A brave young model. Giving off a nervous energy, it was dripping from him. His rugby mates must not know it is him! He didn't keep his hat on, but did keep his shorts on due to his age.

The brushes did not touch the yupo paper until there had been a lot of observation. This semi-abstract acrylic washed image was gently brought out of the white background as he spoke about his studies and the game (rugby).

A very different style of painting for me and one which require me to be brave. The flow of the water-mixed acrylic paint on yupo (a synthetic water-resistant paper used by printers) had to be carefully controlled and managed to ensure that the body was still visible below.

The dried painting was then put into a mount board with a groove, and then in a simple clean white frame.

Apologies the photos of the work in the frame have photographer shadow on them, but could not get a light set-up to remove glare and shadow, and figured no glare was best.
