I've devoted a lot of attention into developing the subtle texture of this painting, and I've been returning to this tiny piece on and off for over a year now, adding a new layer every now and than - there are layers of oil paint, charcoal, chalk, pastels, indian ink some natural mineral pigments, metal golden leaf and a few kinds of resin (and at this point I might be still forgetting something I have put there :) ) - all for the sake of the vibrance, luminosity and texture
oh, and the Odilon refers to the great Odilon Redon - something about the colours luminosity here reminds me of what I love so much about his later paintings - hence the dedication
the painting is on gessoed MDF panel, secured from uv and dust with a layer of glossy varnish.
