In and Out of Time

This is one of a series of images made in late Summer on a rainy day at the far end of the Waternish Peninsula of the Isle of Skye. This part of our small island is very remote, you reach it after driving down bumpy one track roads and past some small croft houses until even those become few and far between. The peninsula overlooks a small bay of water towards Dunvegan and at the far end are the remains of an ancient churchyard with graves dating back hundreds of years. The day was soft and overcast with a mist of rain falling, no sound other than the birds.

This is an image with a lot of emotion, thoughts of times past, images blurred and softened with time. Like faded memories of beautiful days with muted colours and gentle thoughts.
