This work was painted from nature in the most cozy English park near St. Petersburg in Russia. The park is called Alexandria and was given to his wife by Emperor Nicholas. It was a happy marriage - a rarity among the imperial family. Beloved children, meetings, a luxurious library and a happy family life in a country house - everything was right here.

We also come here every year with our family. We visit country palaces, go to Alexander Nevsky's chapel, sit on the shore of the bay, throw pebbles, drink coffee from a thermos. From here you can see Petersburg from the sea . The place is extremely romantic and, of course, I also, as an artist, constantly come here. The paths that sometimes run down, then soar up between the ancient oaks are very soothing. They are soft and pacify everything around.
This painting was painted in 2018 on an incredibly happy day. Happy for no reason. Just because it's sunny, because it's windless, because the yellow foliage warms like a gentle fire in the fireplace. Probably, I tried to catch this moment of happiness and joy to be in such a beautiful place called LIFE.
The painting is painted on the strongest linen canvas with oil paints. This time I used a palette knife and brushes for details. The work is ready to be hung on the wall right away. We do not sell works with frames, because each buyer has his own interior style. And if classical painting is suitable for any house, then I think every customer wants to choose the frame exactly for a certain interior.
