I love watching the sea and constantly changing colors of the sky at various times of the day. This painting was painted from memory. Footprints in sand always intrigue me and they add so much to an otherwise empty looking beach. The painting has an impressionistic feel to it; has been painted in layers to add depth and mystique.

I have painted this one in oils, on a Winsor and Newton fine grain stretched canvas. It has been painted on the sides so can by hung without a frame.
