Original artwork description:

This is an oil sketch I did as a preliminary for a series of works focused on the West Coast. LaJolla (the Jewel- so perfectly named!) is one of the most beautiful places in an area that defies adjectives. My attempt was to capture the light of LaJolla. I stopped working the composition when the sea and the light were just right. Abstract is not my usual style but this painting is exactly where I want to leave it. 16 x 20, signed on back. Sides painted Prussian Blue, hanging hardware attached to be displayed with or without a frame. Thank you for visiting!
