The painting is a study from a movie still. The Impossible is a film which re-enacts the moment the Tsunami hit Thailand. It captures the moment the Mother is dragged under the water and for that split second, in a moment of serenity, is presented with a choice. Adam has created a small series of these paintings which you will find on this site - each exploring this moment from different angles and close ups.

This is a close up oil study which served an exploration of the unheard scream.
