From a series of paintings representing real women. For too long society has portrayed women as flawless. Both our external and internal so-called "imperfections" are hidden, covered, suppressed and ignored.
This series aims to embrace anything that might tarnish us and encourage us to see it as a part of who we are. The way I portray women is deliberately imperfect, the women are wearing their "imperfections" because our journeys, experiences, hurt, pain, mistakes, regrets, and heartaches, make us who we are, so we should wear ourselves with pride.
