Oil study of a beautiful Lioness. I am particularly interested in expressing the strength and majesty of big cats and enjoy exploring that through the medium of oil. This is a fairly large piece and packs quite a punch in terms of impact. The lioness is backlit against a dramatic blue background which adds to the drama. The painting is varnished with a satin varnish and is being sold framed in a chunky white gallery style frame with internal slip.
