Imagined Garden 4
Original Monotype
I have been looking at the work of William Morris and allowed it to seep into my abstract paintings. The paintings are delicate and layered, and give hints of the shape of flowers and leaves, which then seem to become ephemeral. I am playing on the idea of the colour field, which is influenced by studying the palette of Morris, and then allowed to wander where it will.
Oil pigment on stretched watercolour paper.
The painting comes in an A3 card bevelled picture mount.

Unique Monoprint
The painting has been made by painting onto a glass plate, and then taking the impression from it on the paper. No two are the same, as they have to be re-painted each time you take a print.

Paintings will be sent to you unframed, (unless otherwise stated in the description) and protected with cellophane or paper, in a re-enforced padded envelope or recycled box, on a Tracked Delivery service with the Royal Mail or Parcel Force International for large items.
