The medium of collage turned out to be a quick way for me to articulate thoughts. Maybe too straightforward, but it doesn't matter to me now. To go beyond the silence that is the result of a traumatic experience. The mind cannot fathom all the horror of the history that is happening now and art gives an opportunity to express what cannot be verbalized.

I am from Ukraine and these collages reflect the terrible events that are happening now.
In June, Russia blew up a dam in Kakhovka, which led to catastrophic consequences for nature. In this collage, I combined a famous tourist spot and a photo from Kherson. Rivers, seas and oceans are connected and the consequences of this war will affect not only the ecology of Ukraine.
