The painting Il Fungo e l'Elefante (The Mushroom and the Elephant) created for an exhibition at the Michele Ruzittu Civic Museum in Arzachena, Sardinia. The invited artists were asked to rework in their own pictorial style one or more elements of the natural landscape or of the historical and cultural heritage of Arzachena. The new paintings converged in an exhibition (19th April – 27th July 2024) in which masterpieces by great masters such as Carra’ and Fattori are associated with the works of 10 emerging contemporary artists. Always fascinated by the shapes of the landscape, I chose to include in the work two stunning natural sculptures that you can find in Arzachena, the Elephant at Capriccioli beach and the Mushroom in the La Sarra area, giving an interpretation that makes you smile and reflect at the same time on the wonders that Nature is able to generate.
Painted sides, signed certificate of authenticity.
