The Anglo-Saxon “Treow” means both ‘Tree’, and ‘Truth’.
Inspired by the folk tale of king Midas and the ass’s ears, this is one of a series of twelve etchings that imagine the trees listening to, and mirroring our thoughts, whispering back to us with their leaves in the wind.
'Silent Voices' was discussed and featured in "Thinking On My Feet" - a book by Kate Humble, released October 18. I was later commissioned to create her a "Silent Voices" cover and also create plates throughout the book.
Each etching comes stamp embossed and numbered, signed on front.
*This work was created to mirror "If You're Wrong, Say Sorry"*
Due to the nature of the print edition I will be printing to order so it may take longer than 7 days to dispatch. Your patience is appreciated.
