Artwork description:

IDYLLIC TUSCAN ROAD FROM THE GLADIATOR MOVIE (STUDIO 2) is a shot from the series "Tuscany shades" from my collection TUSCANY: LAND OF SOUL.

This photo was in the Val d’Orcia region, and you can see the landscape that forms the backdrop to the final scene of the film The Gladiator, with rolling hills and wheat fields as far as the eye can see.

The Val d'Orcia is a wide countryside in southern Tuscany, the region where I live.

Its green hills are characterized by a dense vegetation, dotted with vineyards, olive groves, cypresses, beech and chestnut groves, a backdrop of marvelous castles, medieval villages and rural houses.

Since 2004 the Val d'Orcia is in the UNESCO World Heritage List.
