Artwork description:

In this screen print, people on a beach have been replaced by fish. It shows a mother and child approaching an ice cream stand. But the child is a little different from the others, and Mother and child both look uncertain. Will she still get served? They are watched by a suspicious shark.

There are 6 colour layers in this print, each printed separately by hand. Each layer is drawn or painted onto film and then photographically transferred onto a screen, a nylon mesh stretched on a frame. it then acts as a stencil, allowing ink to pass through some areas of the screen, and blocking it in others.
