"Icelandic Pony" was taken close to Vik on the southern coast of Iceland at New Year. You can just make out the Reynisdrangar Seastacks (or troll seastacks) in the background. This pony stood out because of it's beautiful cream coat in the herd of other chestnut horses. The darker cream of the mane mimics closely the golden grass in both texture and colour. The low angled winter sun enhances the richness of the golden colours. The direction of the horse's gaze leads your eyes to the distant seastacks making for a balanced and peaceful composition.
