I spotted this Canadian icebreaker in the docks of a small town in Quebec. It was getting some supplies before leaving on an another journey of research & exploration. It has been in service since 1979 & It is named after the famous Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen who disappeared near the Canadian arctic in 1928. This picture is meant to portray the harshness of the Canadian winter & the vessels that helped make it bearable.
