Original artwork description:

A small craft heading skyward is dwarfed by the majesty of a luminous billowing Cumulus cloud, rising high into the midnight blue sky.

This fourth in my series of Icarus painting explores our relationship to the world around us and how humanity like Icarus is flying too close to the sun, with every year that passes.

I wanted to make a cloudscape that was luminous and showed the beauty and wonder of our world.

The cloud is immense and imposing but of course it too will eventually disappear but for the moment it glows brightly in the firmament, watching the plane disappear into the blue.

The canvas is painted on the sides and the artwork is ready to hang".

Framing is not required.

All my paintings are varnished to add a protective coat against dust.

Only the highest quality archival fine art grade Acrylic paint is used on the surface gessoed and prepared by myself.
