Painted from a life, this original oil painting of a vase of roses is painted on wooden cradled panel, with loose and expressive brush marks. There's a wonderul angularity about roses and their petals which make them fascinating to draw and paint. Flowers are such a treat, reminiscent of special days and occasions, the title reflecting the nostagia of days long since passed.

I painted this in oils is on a cradled wooden panel and the piece can be hung as is (is strung on the back), but would benefit from a frame to set the painting off.
