Contrasting the slowness of hand embroidery against the speed of gestural brushstrokes, this study explores the many polarities we exist between. Light and shadow are intrinsic to my work, here with negative gestural brushstrokes picked out an outline of tiny reflective stitches and given presence only by a painted shadow.
