Original artwork description:

I love you.
That is the title of a poem by my favorite poet, Paul Éluard. The first line of which I quoted in the picture.
I've referred to his poems more than once. It's not that these are illustrations of his poems. It's more a description of the painting itself.
It seemed right to me to use this color scheme. Not at all inherent to the theme of eroticism or love. And you can see why if you read and understand this first line.
