Original artwork description:
This is another in my 'Rusty Icons' series, a Ford Popular of 1950s vintage. And I did, learn to drive in this type of car - 'cept it was black, and it was a far cry from the VW Passat I drive today. I have had two clients wanting an image of a car from their early driving experience so decided to pre-empt and do one early, and of course I enjoyed the painting.
